Dear supporter,
Happy New Year, and welcome to this latest update on the Bible Training Partnership and
our work training Evangelists and Church Leaders in Northern Nigeria.
Upcoming Training Conferences
Gusau, 20
th
Jan – 3
rd
Feb 2007
Rick & Alanna Creighton will be visiting Gusau towards the
end of January to run a training conference for congregation
members (in the evenings) and for evangelists and clergy
(during the mornings). They will be joined by Chris White for
the first four days.
Kaduna, 8-19
th
January 2007
Chris White will be joining Muhammed Ibrahim in Kaduna.
Chris and Muhammed will together run a training conference
for Kaduna Diocese Evangelists. Muhammed will teach the
Hausa language stream.
Your prayers for these training conferences would be greatly appreciated. These twice-
yearly events are the only concentrated theological training that the Evangelists receive
and we pray they are a great help in their ongoing work planting and pastoring churches in
the towns and villages around Kaduna and Gusau. Please pray that both the Trainers
(from the UK, Australia and Nigeria) and the Evangelists will have safe travel and will be
devoted and humble students of God's Word during the conferences. Please also pray that
what is learned will be of lasting benefit to the Evangelists and their congregations.

At their last meeting, the BTP Steering Group (Rick Creighton, Adrian Watts and David
Huss) decided to launch a scheme to offer bursaries for Nigerian theological students in
situations of financial hardship (after careful checks with referees). If you would like to
contribute to a fund for this purpose, please contact
